为什么条件句If were going to...使用了be going to

"Come on!" His temper cracked a little. "Whats the matter, anyhow? If were going to town, lets start."

His hand, trembling with his effort at self-control, bore to his lips the last of his glass of ale.

1)条件句中为什么使用了If were going to ? 为什么不是If we go to 呢?

这里的bore to his lips the last of his glass ale - 请分析bear(bore过去时)的含义,用法,结构以及句子成分。

2.bear/ the last of his glass of ale/ to his lips,对比give sth. to sb./give sb. sth.。
